Signs Agreement with Pearson VUE to Administer Nationwide
Certification Testing

The
AACCA will provide the nation's first completely-integrated (CPT/ICD/HCPCS),
computer-based certification examination with instant results.
All exams provided by AACCA will be 200 multiple-choice
questions, delivered in four 50-question sections, each timed at a
maximum of 90 minutes each and will be available at any Pearson VUE
testing facility across the country.

FDA
Proposes New Rules to Revise Blood Shortage and Container Labeling
Requirements
The
FDA has issued a proposed rule to revise the labeling and storage
requirements for blood and blood components including source plasma,
which combines, simplifies, and updates regulations related to blood
container labeling and to the storage and shipping temperatures of
frozen blood components. This rule will make it easier for the blood
industry to comply with existing regulations and manage the supply of
plasma to further enhance the safety of the blood supply while
reducing the cost of regulatory compliance through greater
