"Bringing a clinical standard to coding and reimbursement for all healthcare providers."

The American Association of Clinical Coders and Auditors (AACCA) is the only national organization dedicated to the advancement of clinical coders and auditors for the healthcare industry.  AACCA’s mission is to promote correct documentation and coding of all medical and surgical services, as well as professional and technical components of these services, enhance compliance with Medicare and HIPAA regulations, enhance revenue from third-party payers and increase productivity in healthcare facilities and medical groups thru accredited online certification examinations, and promotion of a standardized curriculum to train clinical coders and auditors by:

	Providing for the certification of clinical coders and auditors;
	Providing for the continuing professional education of clinical coders and clinical auditors;
	Providing a forum for sharing information, experience and ideas related to clinical coders and clinical auditors;
	Promoting the benefits of hiring and contracting with clinical coders and clinical auditors to healthcare executive and financial management, including medical groups; and
	Representing the profession to other clinical professionals, clinical organizations, government agencies, and the healthcare customers, such as employers, unions, small business, and individuals.
